I liked the book a lot but I think the author should have ended it sooner. Finding Maddie alive was a bit unbelievable given all the back story. Definitely worth the read

Quelle belle découverte que ce fut ce roman ! Je ne connaissais pas l’auteur, mais je sais maintenant que j’aimerais lire ses autres romans. J’ai aimé la façon dont il nous a fait plongé dans l’enquête, comment il nous a mené à travers celle-ci du point A au point Z, nous faisant croire plus d’une fois qu’on avait découvert le fin mot de l’histoire alors qu’en fait non, nous n’y étions pas du tout. Une fois commencé, impossible de le lâcher. J’avais l’impression d’être partie prenante de l’enquête.

L’auteur ne fait pas dans le sensationnalisme. Il reste plutôt du côté réaliste de ce que serait une véritable enquête et c’est quelque chose que j’ai beaucoup aimé. On est aux premières loges pour chacune des interrogatoires, alors qu’ils s’efforcent à amener chacun à confesser l’enlèvement. Toute une gamme d’émotions quand on se met à la place des personnages ! À découvrir absolument si tu aimes les romans policiers !
