About this listen
Next to home—and maybe work—where do we spend the vast majority of our time? For most of us, the answer to that question is in our vehicles. And while we often take time to prepare for emergencies at home, we rarely have the same semblance of preparedness when we get into our car, van, or truck and leave.
In Mom on the Run, I'll walk you through the creation of your own step-by-step on-the-go preparedness plan which will effortlessly have your most needed items at your fingertips whether you're at the playground, in a store, or out with a friend.
Get lost in a less-than-desirable area of town? Mom on the Run discusses keeping your family safe both in and out of your vehicle. Stuck at the doctor's office or at the DMV and the kids are climbing the walls? Mom on the Run has suggestions. Preventing, containing, and/or cleaning up from motion sickness accidents? Mom on the Run's got you covered.
You'll get guided, simple, step-by-step instructions including:
- Nine questions to ask yourself to build your own effective and personal Everyday Carry (EDC).
- Guidance on how to set up your vehicle with economical family-specific emergency preparedness kits that will cover all of your family's needs for when you're around town.
- Organizational tips for your vehicle preparedness kit so that you can immediately find anything you need.
If you're a woman into preparedness, you've likely prepared your home for life's emergencies, but you need to prepare your own person with everyday carry essentials for women. You should prep your "around town van" with items that you may need while you're on the go.
If you're looking for one of the best prepper books of 2024, look no further than Mom on the Run.

Good advice but too basic for me
I'm quite a ways beyond this level of prepping for everyday life - always having extra clothes in the car, and snacks for even short trips for crabby passengers. It's good advice for new moms that don't know where to start, and I admit there are some good reminders here and there in the book, even for me (though, I couldn't pick one out off the top of my head). Just not quite what I was looking for. Generally a decent read, though.
