About this listen

A Warhammer 40,000 Adepta Sororitas Audiobook

Morvenn Vahl is the Abbess Sanctorum and a High Lord of Terra, a warrior born and a faithful daughter of the Emperor. Yet she is only mortal, performing no miracles, untouched by divinity, and though she was chosen not by the Master of Mankind but by his living thralls, the faith is hers to command and to protect.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It’s a story of doubt and faith. It’s a story of the light of the God-Emperor against the darkness of the Night Lords. Can Morvenn Vahl lead the faithful to triumph, or will Ophelia VII fall to the traitors?

THE STORY

When a monster from myth threatens the cardinal world of Ophelia VII, Morvenn Vahl defies the Senatorum Imperialis and heads to the planet's defence. There, she finds a world in terror – the warlord Kol Rakhul, known as the Death of Saints, has come for the faithful and, with his Heldrake and a host of Night Lords at his back, plans to enshroud the world in flame and blood.

This is a reckoning. A holy world is being defiled, and in its defence, Morvenn Vahl must wield an army of Living Saints to stand a hope of survival, let alone victory.

child like writing that forgets a lot of w40k established canon

My main problem is about the timeline if all the events...
An invasion happens on Ophelia 7... the highlords get the infos minutes after it starts... Morven thats a ship and reach Ophelia in a matter of hours... one day if we look at what the other characters are doing on the ground... later on, send an astropathic message to Terra and get an answer in a couple of of hours... (she was asking for reinforcements to come help her for a siege that would start at dawn???) later she bring a still blood dripping head from Ophelia to Terra...(yes... spacemarine blood is not known for fast coagulation... even a normal human would not drip after days... I understand the "effect" the author wanted to do, but it comes out as childish imo)

Even in StarTrek it takes longer to travel... astropathic message normally takes days / months / years to get to terra and to get treated (it's the whole plot of the first dawn of war novel)

Morven is an highlord of terra and is depicted in other books has sure of her and of unbreakable faith... here she looks like a novice from other Sororitas novels.

The chaos space marines are still a bunch of dumb infighting characters that makes no sense.

To me it's one of the least compelling book I listen to in all my wh40k collection that started in the 90's...

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
