About this listen

Where is Mr. Dubockal?

January 13, 2024 was the official start date of a fraud investigation against Mr. Dubockal. On the same day, Action 9 WTVY News reported on the six o’clock news: “He’s on the run. He's on the loose. We don't know if he’s armed, nor do we know if he’s dangerous. Please beware, he is considered a fraud, and he’ll take your money! The Clyboon police encourage citizens to make formal statementa regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Dubockal. If spotted, law enforcement urges citizens not to approach this villain but to simply contact the police department.”

Let’s back up! Rumors of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and EBT card (food stamps) fraud floated around town many, many moons prior to the launch of an official investigation. At the break of this news in Clyboon, Georgia, word traveled throughout the Tri-city towns quicker than lightning on a stormy night. In fear of an official investigation, citizens began to meet secretly to strategize how to find Mr. Dubockal and bring him in. Some citizens feared that their own monthly payment from SNAP would be halted. Other citizens feared for Mr. Dubockal because they knew the integrity and goodness of his heart. Those citizens feared that this news was a ploy to hurt his character.

Mr. Dubockal was born Jonquavious Dontrius Jones on April 31, 1985, to John Lee Jones and Qwatrius Lilburn-Jones. Some citizens characterized him as a snake; others referred to him as a kind community leader. His blabbermouth sister Faneshia provided an official statement to the local police department. She also warned the officers not to hurt her brother, or else she’d have the NAACP in town quicker than a Taco Bell drive-thru order. On the other hand, Mr. Dubockal’s coworker Marci provided officers with a list of negative encounters with him and referred to him as an evil man.

Could this possibly be the same person that the citizens provided official statements for or against?

Your help in finding Mr. Dubockal is needed in this quick but detailed short story.
