Publisher's Summary

Mrs. D is an alcoholic, albeit a very nice, respectable, articulate, and groomed alcoholic.

This is an honest, upfront, relatable account of one suburban housewife's journey from miserable wine-soaked boozer to self-respecting sober lady.

This audiobook is an inspirational tale of self-transformation, addiction, and domesticity. This audiobook lays out the entirely unexpected solo journey Mrs. D took in the first year of her sobriety and reveals the incredible online support that came through on her confessional blog, a blog intended to be a private online diary but turned into something else quite remarkable.

One woman’s journey to sobriety

Reads like a series of journal entries which is exactly how the book began its existence. The author has a real potty mouth which detracted from my enjoyment somewhat. There are no real insights into why she hit the bottle so hard in the first place or the nature of addiction or how to recover from it. It’s just the author’s experience which is fine but not very illuminating.
