The full immersion into people and places is one of my favourite aspects of the series!

Gilman is an expert at vividly describing scenery and at describing cultures with warmth and empathy, Ferrell was a bit annoying at times, but I fell in love with the eccentric aunt in this one! One of my favourite things is that Mrs. Pollifax grows and is changed by her past experiences. The references to her previous adventures are handled naturally and her ongoing connections with many of those she met are realistic and enjoyable. So fun!

This series never goes wrong

I’ve absolutely loved this whole series from the first book and I enjoy how the author occasionally brings back people, Mrs. Pollifax has encountered before (understandable given I don’t think the spy community is excessively large, even in real life) this time it’s John Sebastian Farrell, who is a particular favourite of mine

Suspense and Antics in Sicily

Dorothy Gilman never fails to deliver suspense and humour. This title continues Mrs. Polifax's adventures.
It is such a great series, that is enhanced by the narration by Barbara Rosenblat. The characters come alive.
I have been known to miss my street because I was so involved with the story.#Audible1 Start with Book One and you will be captivated by the entire series!
