So superb it requires a reread to absorb.

Different from the previous titles. The dangerous suspense seemed to be saved for later in the book than usual. I enjoyed the change. Learn so much about the countries. Ms. Gilman has sparked a desire to visit countries I've had little interest in exploring. The narrator is phenomenal.

Again, another terrific cast of characters!

I find Gilman is always respectful of the culture and people of the countries she portrays, even when criticism of a regime is implied or stated. The setting and characters were developed beautifully, and once again, she was able to surprise me. There were several characters who became very real to me and left me wanting to see more of them. I highly recommend this series.

These books just keep getting better

I wish I had discovered these when I was a teenager, because then I would be rereading them and enjoying them even more - all of us could always use more Mrs. Pollifax in our lives
