Publisher's Summary

For O.J. Simpson to get away with murder, an innocent cop, a brilliant detective, had to be destroyed. That was the cynical strategy of the Simpson defense. But as certainty about Simpson's guilt grew, so did the outrage about the scapegoating of Mark Fuhrman. Now the former LAPD detective tells his side of the story in a damning expose.

Fuhrman takes the listener on a detective's journey through the crucial first 24 hours of the investigation. We uncover not only the bloody glove but also explosive new evidence recorded by Fuhrman and his partner at the scene but astonishingly never presented at the trial. New revelations about the incompetence and corruption that pervaded the "Trial of the Century" will set the record straight.

What the critics say

"He is providing a badly needed, if one-sided retrospective on how his role unfolded." (The New York Times Book Review)

Amazing audiobook!!!

This was by far the best book on the O.J. Simpson's case I ever read/heard. Mark focuses right in the case from the start; he explains the case logically and scientifically. He highlights all the theatrical nonsense in court and explains the true evidence. I love this book.

Excellent

I’ve always been very curious about this murder case, it’s so unfortunate that Mark Fuhrman was left the scapegoat. Some parts are hard to listen to because it’s incredibly unfair and there appears to be lots of unprofessionalism with how Mark and his family were treated. They were bullied and OJ walks today.

Highly recommend this book

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the unique experience of Mark Fuhrman. It is a candid, intelligent and balanced reflection of his and his family’s traumatic once in a lifetime event. I’m very glad I took the time out to listen from his viewpoint, a cop’s viewpoint, from the bottom up!

Very Authentic

I remember watching the trial on TV. I saw a number of mistakes and wondered how they were allowed to continue.

In Mark’s telling his story he focused on the evidence. He laid out how the evidence was collected, or not collected.

The fact that Mark and his family suffered from the media’s camping out on their doorstep was sad and inexcusable.

I am impressed with Mark maintaining his position never wavering from the facts.

I totally enjoyed this book and the straightforward telling the story. The narrator did an exceptional job.

Mark Furmans story

I’ve read different sides of the Murder and watched it unfold live on television but never read an account quite like this. I believe it to be an authentic reporting of the events surrounding Mark in his own words. I did not realize the extent of the attack on him by the defense team or the consequences he paid simply by holding onto his integrity. I’m glad he had the ability to withstand the pressures this brought down on him. His unwavering belief in himself, his self confidence and sincerity I think, made him vulnerable to the attack of an unscrupulous Defense team. Shame on them.

Apparently he’s the best cop in the world.

This book was a interesting bit of information on the murders. But Mark literally proclaims that everyone else did wrong and he did not. Most perfect officer ever. Lol
