Publisher's Summary
Keep your friends close...
Construction work isn't any sort of calling for Ethan Loeb. He gets the job done, cashes his check, and spends his free time volunteering at the retirement home his elderly mother lives in. He knows he comes across as big, gruff, and grumpy, but right now, he doesn't much care.
Until him.
...but keep your enemies in your bedroom.
Mark Weaver knows that the construction crew in charge of building a new set of luxury townhouses is more than a bit ticked off that a potential dinosaur find has derailed their tight schedule. They make it very clear that the scientists excavating the site aren't welcome.
It doesn't much matter to Mark. Preserving the past trumps new construction any day.
But when Mark's car dies too far away from the work site for him to walk with his polio-damaged legs, can he accept help from a big, burly construction worker with a secret heart of gold?

Narrator Austin Jay is going onto my favorite narrator list. He does read a little slow, but I fixed that quickly by listening at 1.5 speed.
This book was an absolutely fantastic surprise. I almost peed myself when the two older men, one on crutches went into the field cow tipping. I'm not a spring chicken myself, so I enjoy scenes like this extra more, because it rings so true to home. Author J. P. Oliver is one of my less visited audiobooks, because he usually use narrators I don't really know or the books are so short, I don't want to waste money on it.
If you are going to write short stories put them in a book at least 6 hours long, is my motto generally.
I don't want to give away more about the book, it may spoil it.
We do have a beautiful HEA, and the all the secondary characters are quite well developed. Their stories will probably continue in the rest of the series. Please stick with this narrator- it is such a good combo.
Yes, I do recommend this book, it funny, sexy and has a pretty good back bone.
Happy Listening.
