About this listen
Available as an audiobook for the first time, read by band members "Fat Mike" Burkett, Eric Melvin, Erik "Smelly" Sandin, and Aaron "El Hefe" Abeyta along with special guest narrator musician and comedian Tommy Chong. In addition, the audiobook features exclusive, previously unreleased tracks, "Bouncy" (a NOFX instrumental), "La Pieta" (Fat Mike piano & vocal song about his mother), and "Young Drunk & Stupid" (live NOFX song from an Idaho basement gig in 1986)
NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world's most influential and controversial punk bands. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and drinking pee. Told from the perspective of each of the band's members, this audiobook looks back at more than 30 years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

Story
One of Billboard's 100 Greatest Music Books of All Time: The provocative transgender advocate and lead singer of the punk rock band Against Me! provides a searing account of her search for identity and her true self. It began in a bedroom in Naples, Florida, when a misbehaving punk teenager named Tom Gabel, armed with nothing but an acoustic guitar and a headful of anarchist politics, landed on a riff. Gabel formed Against Me! and rocketed the band from its scrappy beginnings-banging on a drum kit made of pickle buckets-to a major-label powerhouse.

Story
From his earliest days growing up in Canada, Deryck Whibley was a punk who loved music and couldn’t wait to achieve something bigger and better than the humble path that lay before him. Whibley was raised by a single mom and their small family constantly moved from place to place, so he was used to being the new kid, starting fights (or finishing them), and connecting with people who shared his sensibility for chaotic fun and loud music. Sum 41 was born of a group of friends who loved to jam, shared a DIY ethos, and were determined to be rock stars one day.

Story
Keith Morris is a true punk icon. No one else embodies the sound of Southern Californian hardcore. Short and sporting waist-length dreadlocks, Morris is known the world over for his take-no-prisoners approach on the stage and his integrity off of it. Over the course of his 40-year career, he's battled diabetes, drug and alcohol addiction, and the record industry. My Damage is more than a book about the highs and lows of a punk rock legend, however.

Story
As lead singer and songwriter for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis has lived life on the razor's edge. Much has been written about him, but until now we've only had his songs as clues to his experience from the inside. In Scar Tissue, Kiedis proves himself to be as compelling a memoirist as he is a lyricist, giving us a searingly honest account of the life from which his music has evolved.

My husband bought the book before its release, and read it in a weekend. I struggled to read 15 chapters, and finally got it to listen to. So fantastic listening to all of the stories by the actual members!! I laughed. I cried. I learned. it's NOFX. you have to come into this with an open mind ❤️

been with then from the jump off
NOFX changed my life, I was given Metallica's ride the lightning for my 6th birthday and it opened me up to fast and heavy. I mean my fave tape until then was hanging tough by the new kids on the block. so needless to say this fucked my six year old mind up! Fast forward to first day of grade 7, my friend passes me a tape, minor threat discography and an I heard they suck live tape. minor threat blew me away, so much so that one of my first bands was a minor threat cover band. but i heard they suck live was a different entity all together. the rawness, the stage banter, the tightness of the band(up until id only heard live albums from guys like kiss and peter frampton. that wasnt the kind of live i was interested in. this wasn't vapidly overproduced this was real, as though i was there in the wings, theres no way to explain it. if somebody asks what it feels like, just say. its NOFX

Amazing book, gives an excellent look at the heart of the band read by (most) of the band themselves or by a celeb narrator in their place.
Funny, sad, and off the wall but always from the heart.
10/10 and would recommend to all.
Can’t wait to catch the next tour.
