“Laurell K. Hamilton’s sexiest book, and that’s saying something.... The relationships between the characters take center stage.” (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
“The definitive book in the series...Laurel K. Hamilton has written the best book of her career because she gives the audience the answers they have been waiting for. This action-supernatural thriller is a keeper and with the passage of time will be considered a classic.” (BookBrowser)

Not horrible but not great
Now don’t get me wrong here, I still love the series. Been a fan since before I should’ve been reading this series, however there’s a lot less I end up liking about Anita now as an adult woman myself.
Needless to say, whatever my hang ups about Anita’s character are just that, my hang ups. This particular addition to the series isn’t my favourite, but it isn’t terrible.
I’ll give it a sturdy 5 out of 10

this book ruined the series
The author made a mad plot mistake adding the incubus to Anita. It just turned the series from a fun adventurous fantasy to cheap badly written porn.
