About this listen
Natural Hospital Birth, Updated Edition shows how to apply the guidelines and tactics of natural birth in a hospital setting, where 99 percent of births take place.
Many mothers-to-be find themselves torn between the desire for a natural childbirth with minimal medical intervention and the peace of mind offered by instant access to life-saving technology that only a hospital can provide. In Natural Hospital Birth, doula Cynthia Gabriel asserts that there is no good reason women should not be able to have both.
Cynthia shows expectant mothers what they can do to avoid unnecessary medical interventions and how to take initiative and consciously prepare for the kind of birth they want to have. Also included are inspiring stories from other women who know firsthand that natural birth in the hospital is possible.
With this audiobook, mothers-to-be will be equipped with the knowledge they need to ensure a satisfying hospital birth they will look back on with peace and joy.

Great for FTM
This book was great after getting through the first couple of chapters. I’m not personally tied to going through labour without an epidural, but I do want minimal interventions. The author walks you through all stages of labour as well as delivery and postpartum in great detail. She suggests a plethora of ways to cope through all stages and gives a lot of birthing position and medication intervention information. It’s like a dumbies guide to labour and delivery for FTM. Definitely read this as opposed to creepy weirdo Ina May’s book…

great info could have been presented even better
I had to take off 1 star because instead of giving us a PDF with resources she reads out all the hyperlinks. The rest of the book was so good but you have to listen through her reading out HTTP colon backslash backslash WWW period capital Y and it goes on and on! This is just an example but it's so annoying listening to urls like that. just put it in an accompanying resources document!

helpful and insightful
before beginning this book I was already determined and educated about natural birth yet I feel even more knowledgeable and, even more beneficial, empowered in my decision. I have come away with truly helpful tips and tricks as well as the confidence in myself to do this.

Horrible Narration
I really wanted to like this book and learn a lot from it, but I couldn't get past the horrible narration. It sounds like the book was narrated by Siri or Alexa, very robotish and made it impossible for me to listen to seriously.
