About this listen
One day Raymond Francis, a chemist and graduate of MIT, found himself in a hospital, battling for his life. The diagnosis was acute chemical hepatitis, chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivities, and several autoimmune syndromes, causing him to suffer fatigue, dizziness, impaired memory, heart palpitations, diarrhea, numbness, seizures, and numerous other ailments. Knowing death was imminent unless he took action, Francis decided to research solutions for his disease himself. His findings and eventual recovery led him to conclude that almost all disease can be both prevented and reversed.
In Never Be Sick Again, Francis presents a seminal work based on these findings—a revolutionary theory of health and disease: there is only one disease (malfunctioning cells), only two causes of disease (deficiency and toxicity), and six pathways to health and disease (nutrition, toxins, psychological, physical, genetic, and medical). This remarkable book answers these questions: What is health? What is disease? Why do people get sick? How can disease be prevented? And how can it be reversed? It will teach listeners, in one easy lesson, an entirely new way to look at health and disease with an approach that is easy to understand yet so powerful that they may, indeed, never have to be sick again.
Providing a basic understanding of health and disease, this book takes the mystery out of disease. It provides listeners, no matter what their present physical condition, with a holistic approach to living that will empower them to get well—and stay well.

Extreme, but very useful
There is no doubt in my mind that much of the content of this book is extremist advice. I did some fact checking on a few points and found inconsistencies in some of the authors claims, but that could be due to the 16 years that separate the publication date and the date of my fact checking.
The overall arguments for maintaining optimum health are well laid out. The book is engaging, interesting and very well narrated. recommended.

I wanted more on how to and what to do. More meat.
He certainly drilled in the message very well but there was always a piece of info missing. I ended up on his site where he sell products.

Too long, too much advertising of products
I liked the book and found that there was a lot of useful information. However, it was too long for nothing, he repeats the same thing again and again. For the first 3 chapters he presents what we will learn in this book, repeating again and again "this is what you will learn in this book". Three chapters with no useful information and waiting for the real content. After, the information was great but still a lot of repetition.
I also think the author lost some credibility at the end when he present the safe and healthy products. It was just a long advertising of his products and website Beyond Health. It made me wonder if the goal of the book is really to educate people or to sell products. Also, it may be useful for people in the United States, but those products are not necessarily sold in other countries.
Despite that, I learned a lot of new things even if I consider myself knowledgeable of health concerns. There was a lot of useful information that will probably be a game changer for me with a chronic condition.
