Publisher's Summary

The new story in the phenomenal Midnight, Texas series from number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris.

At Midnight's local pawnshop, weapons are flying off the shelves - only to be used in sudden and dramatic suicides right at the main crossroads in town. Who better to figure out why blood is being spilled than the vampire Lemuel, who, while translating mysterious texts, discovers what makes Midnight the town it is? There's a reason why witches and werewolves, killers and psychics, have been drawn to this place. And now they must come together to stop the bloodshed in the heart of Midnight. For if all hell breaks loose - which just might happen - it will put the secretive town on the map, where no one wants it to be....

I absolutely love these books...

...and I really hope that this wasn't the last "Midnight" novel!! The characters are fascinating and the stories are as well. It's a fairly (overall) lighthearted and amusing novel/trilogy that can be stand alone books, but I'd start from book 1, sit back, and enjoy the 'midnight' ride!
Oh, and I can't forget the narrator's amazing talent, she is perfect for these characters!!
I actually listen to this trilogy every couple of years, yes, they're THAT good!!

Another great series from Charlaine Harris

I just finished this 3 book series by Charlaine Harris, I missed her writing style and I was not disappointed. I listened to all the Sookie Stackhouse novels and fell in love with all the charaters. I found myself missing them dearly. It happened again with this group. Thou at the end of Night Shift you fell like you are at the end but I still think you could squeak another book focusing on Quinn and his son. Deedrick himself could take a novel to understand. I miss Charlaine and hopes she gets back to writing again.

Enjoyable story read well

Fun book with interesting, quirky characters. 3rd book of the series - should be read in series order for the most enjoyment.

I really good audio book!

I hope this is not the last book and that there are more to come. trying to read these books with so many points of view is confusing. The way the audio book is read make it much more enjoyable.

Meh..

Not bad, definitely not Good.
Still better than the second book.
I wondered why there's not a forth book?
Then noticed, I don't care...
