Maybe I’m not in the mood

This is the first book by this author that I didn’t enjoy. I waited until chapter 10 to grab my attention, but when it didn’t, I skipped to chapter 20. By chapter 25, I was not sure if I could go on. So I skipped to chapter 40 to hear the ending.
Narrator: nope.
