About this listen
"Do you have any notes for me?" Actors always ask for notes on their performance, and they will take them from just about anyone. Ron Marasco's Notes to an Actor grew out of the actor's profession. In his years as an actor, scholar, and teacher of acting, Mr. Marasco found that most acting books were either outdated classics that were rarely read, or quasi-textbooks that actors only "skimmed." So he developed Notes to an Actor, a compact, user-friendly audiobook geared specifically to the way actors work. The book is based on the innovative idea that notes, given one on one, are the essential tool of creative learning.

Good for those with a base
This is a great book for actors. Lots of direct information with a lot of good arguments. Very practical advise and had my attention most of the time.
I would recommend this book to more experienced actors. I feel some of what is said may be more useful to those who are trying to improve rather than those starting. Think a sniper versus a shotgun. Specificity versus a generalized idea. That isn't to say newer actors cannot benefit from this book. I just think it's advantageous to have experience/a base to build upon before starting this book. After all, it's is about giving notes on something that exists, not giving notes on how to start.
