Publisher's Summary

"Lust. It drives people to do things they normally wouldn't."

A whisper is a secret that keeps you safe in the dark. It may hold truth, but it may bring about pain. When Eli said goodbye to love, he never counted on Gia.

The darkened soul he'd kept hidden for far too long was tainted. And she was too beautiful, too innocent. But he didn't bank on the feisty beauty taming the beast he held inside.

Living with guilt and anger, he promises to never love again. But fate has other plans.

Will Eli and Gia find a light in the dark?

Contains mature themes.

repetitive and terrible ending

the story repeats itself over and over. they tell eachother they love each other multiple times during the story, but then at the end they act surprised when they say it. every chapter they act like they have a light bulb moment but it's the same thing from every other chapter. and the ending is absolutely terrible. the first book is a lot better. this story had so much potential.

Terrible ending

Boo… there were so many better ways to end this story, it just dropped off and was over, it’s like ending a story with ‘The End’ - dull!

Ending was rushed, story was powerful

I loved the storyline, but the ending, when they finally make it back to each other really glosses over the previous 3 months of healing. The last few chapters seemed really rushed. Her pain from her abuser was so well done, and his anguish when he rescued her was so strong, but then it was flashes of "no go away", "revenge is real", "no go away", "ok I'll rush back in".....

This series is DARK. This one especially for anyone that has experienced childhood abuse. But the details on their lifestyle and showing why some of us choose this? Was fairly well done. More discussion on safe words and hard limits maybe, but well done.

Started off strong but ended weak

So again we’re brought into this Dom/Sub world of kink with an older man and younger female.

This book starts off strong with more of a real background story having met in the hospital when she was 17 & he was 28. She was in for cutting and self harm and his wife was on her death bed. They had something for about a year but having lost his wife he was scared and walked out on this young girl he was starting to care about.

Unfortunately when he left apparently her family sold her to a monster who kept her caged and was a daily victim of horrific sexual abuse for 2 years!

Then she ends up working in the daytime at a coffee shop & at night as a bartender in the infamous sex club. Where for 5 years she came into contact with the man from the hospital loving him from afar until one night he asked her to met him for a scene at his place.

Their relationship was open and honest they figured out his wife had a hand in them getting together, she opened up about the trauma from her uncle that lasted years as a child that originally started making her feel broken and landed her in the hospital.

That poor girl had been through so much and then she’s taken again! It’s one thing if she was taken then they found her and killed the monster, or I was hoping they would find her before anything happened to her again but nope.

She is horrifically abused and almost dead, and they didn’t call the cops yet she was in the hospital for a long time.

Very confusing either you kill him and it’s self defence as you save her and another female captive or you call the cops. But they kept him captive after and shot him only to hurt him then call the cops??? Wtf why?

That makes no sense then she pushes her love away because she was so broken yet again and months go by and the book literally ends as she agrees to be with him again… geez 🙄 that ending could of been done so much better!
