Publisher's Summary

Clyde Hatchett, Glaton's prodigal son, is finally home.

Sure, he's got a whole new body and face, so nobody recognizes him. And technically he's not from Glaton—he's really only spent a few months there. But they say home is wherever your love resides, and since Nadya lives in Glaton . . . wait, does Clyde actually love Nadya?

This is getting complicated.

That, on top of all the problems Clyde left behind, which haven't gotten any less knotty while he was gone. The Senate is heating up, with numerous noble idiots vying for the throne. More gangs and more monsters than ever threaten the streets. And it seems everyone in Old Town wants to look to Clyde for direction, and Clyde isn't sure what to do about any of it.

On a Throne of Lies is political intrigue, grotesque battles, spell slinging, and a bit of smoochy smoochy to go along with all the stabby stabby. Add to that a cameo from everyone's favorite overpowered tank-warrior, and you know you won't want to miss it.

I love you his series but this book is empty

It’s empty book there is really just one thing one influential person returned to city. That’s it nothing else progressed. No conflict resolution no romance progress, nothing. Is it funny? Yes. Is it worth the money? No! Just wait for next book read the last few chapters on kindle unlimited.

so first off I love these series BUT

it really is starting to feel like you are just cutting up a story to put out more books. There isn't really resolution of conflict nothing is happening. I'm sorry I wish I never found this series until after it was finished. but it is awesome and I won't give you really low stars because the story is great

Flex in the City from a different PoV

If you're reading the Good Guys alongside the Bad Guys this crossover novel will be of no surprise to you. It ties up some things, starts a whack of new quests. And there's lots of the rather inane talk I expect from Clyde. You can see in the story that Eric is preoccupied with the changes in his family and maybe he's not paying as much attention to the story that helps him pay the bills but I expect he'll get back into writer mode eventually and we'll go back to seeing the quality we've come to expect from the series.

Definitely not a 5 star novel, but not a 1 star novel either. I'm looking forward to progress on both sides going forward.
