About this listen
We have schedule planners, computerized calendars, and self-stick notes to help us organize our business and social lives everyday. But what about organizing the other side of our lives - the spiritual side?
One of the great battlegrounds of the new century is within the private world of the individual. The values of our Western culture incline us to believe that the busy, publicly active person in ministry is also the most spiritual.
Tempted to give imbalanced attention to the public world at the expense of the private, we become involved in more programs, more meetings. Our massive responsibilities at home, work, and church have resulted in a lot of good people on the verge of collapse.
In this timely update of his classic Ordering Your Private World, Gordon MacDonald equips a new generation to live life from the inside out, cultivating the inner victory necessary for public effectiveness.
“With much enthusiasm I recommend this book to all of you who, like me, need order in your private world.” (Charles Swindoll, chancellor, Dallas Theological Seminary)

Exactly what I needed
As a long time Christian who has had many ups and downs in my spiritual walk and faith, this book introduced some ideas and many analogies that have given me strategies on how to make my commitment to God more consistent and resistant to the many demands and things that come at me. I bought the audio and the written paper book, underlining and relistening to different parts. This is probably one of my favourite books which surprised me. What a wealth of encouragement and humility brought by a pastor of great faith and commitment to openly sharing his path of growth and missteps along the way.

Oldie but a goodie
Very good as a secular book too! Has alot of good information! My parents always taught me about people pleasing and boundaries, even towards them. It’s okay to say no and do what is best for your family. Must read gif all generations. A staple book in my home.
