Publisher's Summary

What would you do if you woke up in another world?

When leading archeologist Dr. Hank Murphy discovers an alien artifact on the Moon, corporate interests are quick to get involved. A discovery like this could change everything, but more importantly, someone stands to make a fortune. But Murphy just wants to understand what this thing is and how it works. After months of research, he finally manages to locate the power source.

The gate is soon activated...and Murphy is pulled through.

Moments later, he finds himself in a war-torn corner of the galaxy where strangers like him are called Orphans...and they are considered extremely dangerous.

Somehow altered by the experience, the archeologist now has enhanced strength, speed, and agility. He is more than human. He is an Orphan. And he must survive a deadly new reality unlike anything he can imagine. Worse still, Murphy is not the only so-called Orphan in this region of the galaxy. There are many others.

And not all of them are created equal.

Luke Daniels VO perfection

I love this new series, it’s an interesting twist on gate travel, fish out of water, mystery, space battles and powering up.

Luke Daniels does an incredible job giving voice and personality to each character. It adds such additional depth when you don’t have to struggle to differentiate characters. I can’t wait to find out what Murphy and zaidos will become as they continue to gate travel.

It was terrible.

A book that builds up to absolutely nothing. After going through the gate hes got enhanced speed, agility and strength....that he never uses. Ever. He's a prisoner the entire time, slapped around like a bitch. For 12 hours. All you get is this guys internal dialogue as he cucks over how tough his friend Jack is and when he does actually get the nerve to talk back to his captors, he gets curb stomped back into submission.

So if you want to just follow around a beta cuck for 12 hours then wow are you in for a treat. Luke Daniels can't even save this book so don't be fooled by good reviews. If you look at Creighton Tays, they only have 1 review, ever. Obviously a friend of the author. Or authors. How the fuck did TWO authors make one book so fucking boring?

You don't have to take my word for it though. Go look at book two's reviews. That's right, there are none. It's been out for 3 years and nobody can be bothered to review it, that is how uninteresting this series is.
