About this listen

Loyalty. Family. Power. The Lords of Chaos MC, brothers in arms and blood, are men who take no prisoners. Their moral compass points in whatever direction they choose. So, when the opportunity to gain more money and power presents itself in the form of a favor to a notorious mob family, they accept. To put plans into motion, Noah "Ace" Murphy, Sergent at Arms of the Lords, visits his brother “Dragon” in prison. He gives him the task of killing a DEA snitch who’s under protection there. On his way home later that night, Ace meets a young man fleeing for his life half-naked and terrified. Kenshin Yamoto just escaped the grips of hell, but he isn’t safe yet. With one look into Kenshin’s beautiful brown eyes, Ace knows he’s hooked. He also knows that he’s going to make sure whoever hurt Kenshin, will pay… and it won’t be painless… or quick. After his visit with his brother, Ace, Diego "Dragon" Murphy starts preparing for a mission he knows he can't afford to fail. Killing is what Dragon excels at and he never misses his mark. But taking lives isn’t the only thing he enjoys. When he gets a new cellmate, Dragon is determined to get the man into his bed. Richard Harrison is everything Dragon desires and more, but he’s playing hard to get by claiming he’s straight. Something Dragon won’t hesitate to prove wrong with a simple bet.

In this electrifying tale of crime and passion, alliances are created and destroyed through the pursuit of money and power. Loyalty, Family, and love will be put to the test. "The Road to Carnage Series” will take you on a wild ride through the savage world of outlaws. You're going to want to strap in, this adventure isn't for the faint of heart. These men play by their own rules and no games.

This book is a part of a series where the story evolves as new characters are introduced. HFN/HEA. Not a standalone.

Narrator Keith Folz went and shot this shit right out of the park. His lower baritone voice burned my rubber until it fogged up my mind, making me stupidly fall in love with six bad-boy characters at once. He gave them each their own voice, highlighting their awesome don’t fuck with me biker personalities. Men I would never meet in real life but visualize nightly. The narrator’s pacing and tempo were perfect, I listened to him at 1.2 speed. He enhanced the drama and tension, not to mention the sex scenes with his smoldering voice. I can listen to him for hours.

The author wrote a wonderful cast of dark characters, I fell in love with instantaneously. The plot flowed beautifully and it sucked me into their world of murder and organized mayhem pre-maturely as I realized the book is only halfway through, I was already scanning audible for book 2. Scared to be left hung and dry.

Luckily this was not a vicious dive of a cliffhanger, so the wait for audiobook 2 would be survivable.

Listeners should prepare themselves for some sexy serious dubious consent, Dragon found his hidden between the buttcheeks of his cellmate. Not going to give more away than that.

This book started with a massive bang and should not be missed. I loved this audiobook most for the deep plot and character development, and of course, its five-star narration. Voted October 2021, Best Audiobook of the month!
