Read the manga watched the anime. now for this!
The English VA for Lord Ainz. is a very powerful voice and character. I appreciate the gravitas that he's able to bring. it is definitely a unique experience to hear one VA do all the parts. when you are used to hearing all the voices with their different VA's. But the story obviously I'm biased towards it because I've come to the audiobooks after already all the other material has been consumed.
he doesn't quite have an effeminate enough voice. But makes it work. there is a couple of characters that he does do in too similar voice so it can be a little confusing. unless you already have a little bit of previous knowledge. But I'm here to hear past a specific point in the anime so here we go!

A human turning into an Undead
This is a great story. A human who is converted to an undead. We get to see as he transforms from a regular human into an Undead lich. While at the start there is some game elements it slowly changes into a normal world with normal rules. OP undead MC. At the start there is still some of his annoying human side we see him slowly grow into his role as Overlord. Cant recommend this enough.
One thing I will criticize is that while the narrator does a great job, I feel that this story would benefit from 2 narrators. Some of the voices sounded very similar.
"When I first met the humans of this world I saw them as bugs. Now after talking to them I see them as cute puppies." Best quote ever.

Why not 5/5 you ask? Well...as glad as I am Chris narrated the book, having Ainz have his usual voice is awesome, his voices for a lot of the other characters were extremely annoying. Sorry Chris.......Still a solid 4/5 from me though.

it's like the show but with more details
It's like the show but with more details as to what the characteristics themselves are thinking. I am enjoying this very much. I wish the books wore longer or they put several book in one.

pretty great
honestly the only thing taking away from this are the "female" voices - I know they're hard to do as a male.. but they are really bad lol.
that aside for those who don't know the narrator is the actual English VA for Ainz and his Ainz and Gazef voices are fantastic. There was a line where Gazef was making his final stand and his battle cry and speech gave me chills.
can't wait to listen to V2

Cool!
Loving that this is filling in some gaps the anime left me with. Some odd round-about explanations that come from it being an English translation of a Japanese novel might be annoying for folks unfamiliar with the genre :) Really enjoyed!
