I love this story about Pax, a fox and his human, Peter. The first book was so good, I was concerned the second wouldn't be as enjoyable. But I needn't have worried, as this one is just as good. The story, told from two points of view —Pax and Peter —works well. Once again, the descriptions of the settings are well written. The narrator, Michael Curran-Dorsano, is perfect. I felt like I was there with the fox and the boy as they journeyed home. The addition of Pax's young daughter added to the story. It was a satisfying ending to an emotionally charged story.

As good as the first book

I wanted to listened to this before I read it to my class. Great sequel! I couldn't put it down. I know my class will love it as much as I did... keep them coming!

This book was so emotional and beautiful! I read and loved the first book, yet this, I just adored it even more! You really do see how much a year has changed Peter and his old friend, Pax. And the new journey they both take is so well written. The ending chapters (just get ready) will pull at your heartstrings, and you may shed some tears like I did! I highly recommend reading this book. You will not be disappointed!
