About this listen

A delicious new single-dad stand-alone romance from New York Times best seller Kendall Ryan!

Lexington Dane was my brother’s best friend growing up. We did everything together. He taught me how to throw a punch, how to change a tire...and he taught me how to kiss. I fell hard and fast and gave him all my firsts.

I promised I’d wait for him....

But I’m done waiting, because he went off to college and never came back. He took his fancy business degree and moved to New York City, where he promptly became a real estate mogul - turning every penthouse and apartment project he touched into gold.

It’s been 10 years, and now he’s back and needs a favor...someone to watch his little girl. That’s right, the cocky penthouse prince and heartbreaker extraordinaire Lexington is back with an adorable two-year-old daughter. Guess who he wants to watch her?

I’ve never been able to say no to him. I might agree to be the nanny for his precious little angel, but there’s no way in hell I’m falling for her hot-as-sin daddy.

Really enjoyed.

I love Joe Arden’s child voice. It makes me smile every time.
These are two of my favourite narrators.
Really enjoyed the story.

Enjoyable

Nice clean story to read. Good to see not all authors need to use sex and foul language to tell a good story.

Returning Home

I enjoyed this book. Lexington and Corrigan are interesting and fun characters; their chemistry from the start is hot. This is a second-chance romance, single parent, brother’s best friend and forced proximity. Lexington is strong, an alpha, soft hearted and had a vulnerability that was shown sweetly in this story through his interactions with his mother and daughter. Corrigan is strong, smart, sweet, and kind. The main characters are relatable. The side characters added spark to the story, especially Lexington’s daughter Greer.

While I enjoyed this book, I was disappointed with how easily Corrigan forgave Lexington for their past and how undeveloped the brother was in this story (I read this book about 8 hours before writing this review and I can’t remember the brother’s name - because he didn’t play enough of a role in the story for me).

I listened to this book on audible and enjoyed the narrators. They were easy to follow, regardless of the speed at which the book is listened. Both narrators did a good job of altering their voices depending on the character they speak as.
