About this listen
The legendary British actor Terence Stamp reads the book that he says 'changed his life'. This is an exploration of our existence and a journey towards enlightenment.
In what the author calls 'the fine print' at the start of the book, David Carse wrote: 'There are many books out there that will help you to live a better life, become a better person, and evolve and grow to realise your potential as a spiritual being. This is not one of them...almost every popular spiritual teacher in America and Europe is teaching that ultimate spiritual enlightenment...can now be yours; and that reading their book or attending their seminar will help you toward that end. This book will tell you that these ideas are absurd, because it’s quite obvious that neither you nor anything else has ever existed....' He then concludes, 'That said, enjoy'. We think you probably will.

As close to truth as can be spoken!
If you are a seeker and are ready for the truth that you don't exist, then this is the book for you.

These are profound words.
The narration was a little distracting at times. I’m not sure why the “questioner” at times sounded like he did……a bit dumb, with a strange accent🙃

Fantastic book…
I have read this book many times, and the truth within it is profound. The writing is beautiful and extremely insightful.
Unfortunately, the audiobook is very poor, and it’s representation of the truth within it.
The narrator is so affected, and overbearing that it’s very hard to listen to.
I would’ve returned it, but I was passed the deadline.
It’s so unfortunate because this book is really a masterpiece.

Meaningful stuff if you can get past the reader
The author shares great insights and I can't wait to actually read this book and hopefully do so without Terence Stamp's voice in my head. While Stamp is a gifted actor/orator, I think he does an injustice to this work. No offense to the British - I am a first-generation Canadian of British parents - but this reeks of British colonialism and classism.
I don't blame the reader - it is what he knows. But his reading makes the 'layman' seem like they are either an uneducated cockney idiot or a stupid American - either way it seems incredibly biased and seriously detracts from the content. That makes it really difficult to just listen to the author for its content and make one's own mind up.
I started out really enjoying this and then it went really downhill as it progressed. But that's not a criticism of the content - just of the reading.
