About this listen
A table for two waitress Tiffany Hayes knows what she wants and she wants Sebastian. Top’s grumpy sommelier calls to her in a way no man has before. She simply needs to show him that they belong together. Finding an opportunity to spend some quality time with him turns out to be the easy part. Convincing Sebastian to look beyond his damaged heart and soul is far more difficult. A thirst he can’t deny After losing everything he held dear, Sebastian Lowe has finally rebuilt his life and the walls around his heart. Tiffany is a sweet temptation he struggles to resist. She’s bright and complex, but he’s sure she can’t handle his dark desires. When they’re thrown together on an assignment, he can’t help himself. A perfect pairing As passion builds, the new lovers are both forced to face their pasts. To have a future, they must find a way to heal the wounds they thought would haunt them forever.

Good book, poor effort by the narrator...
I really liked this book. It was thought-provoking, caring, and had the tough, gritty, take-no-prisoners romance that we have come to expect from this series. It lived up to the caliber of a Lexi Blake Masters and Mercenaries spin-Off. Smart women, tough men, and just enough excitement to make it extra fun.
Unfortunately, I have listened to Sebastian York for years and fell in love with his voice on other projects. Because I see his potential, I am very disappointed with his effort. Ryan West, in his version of Damon Knight, in Damon Knight’s book, was swoon-worthy. Sebastian York’s Damon Knight sounded like a constipated person straining to have a bowel movement. It was very poorly done of him, given that this isn’t his first audiobook.
I bought this because I loved the book. I didn’t return it because I love the book. But if it was narrator alone, given that he is supposed to be an experienced narrator, he would be lucky to get 2 stars from me. Sebastian York, you may have a gorgeous voice, but, please, pretend to care about what you are reading. To me, your performance was flat and absurd, not at all what I would expect from you.
