As an avid reader and audio book listener,, this was the first book where I cried through most of it. My husband was married at 19 to his first wife who was just 18. While their marriage was not because of a baby, she was pregnant the month after they married and separated due to his wifes' infidelity when his daughter was 2. Even though my husband who I met when he was 23 and I have been married to for decades went on to have a family of our own this book brought up "all the damage". Guilt & insecurity during their messy divorce, an emotionally manipulated teenage stepdaughter and hurtful gossip/social scrutiny of others who made assumptions about our relationship. Many will see this book as just another tropes filled average " found love again" romance, thank you Sarina, for articulating the drama. It burned me.

It’s a second chance romance book, very simple and predictable you know exactly what’s going to happen next in the book 🤷‍♀️
