Publisher's Summary

I'm the star right winger for the Vancouver Vipers, an unstoppable force, fast as lightning.

It's my dream come true, and I've worked my whole life to get here. I don't plan on giving it up, but if I want to keep playing hockey, I'm going to need all my limbs. To ensure my body parts stay intact, I only need to follow one simple rule: don't touch my captain's little sister.

Seems easy enough. She's snarky and bossy and has a mouth like a sailor. Truthfully, I'm bordering on the edge of terrified when she's around.

The problem is I've seen too much. Too much of her, inside and out. And now? Now I want more.

But she's my best friend's little sister, and nobody's ever been as off limits as Jennie Beckett is to me.

Her collection of toys is impressive, but I plan on showing her how a real man can make her vibrate without all the batteries. These hands can handle a hockey stick; surely they can handle her.

C'mon, Jennie. Play with me.

Play With Me is the second book the Playing For Keeps series but it can be listened to as a standalone. It is a mature hockey romance that contain lots of heat, swoon, laughs, and a ride on an emotional roller coaster!

Better than the first of this series

I did like the first book, but this one was way spicier! Could have done without some of the unnecessarily long monologues, but other than that I enjoyed it. Narrators are great

Swoon worthy

Love the first book in this series. I was so happy to learn there was a second book. Story was alright, the female character can be so annoying. Everything could be solved with COMMUNICATION!! I feel for her, her anxiety, her fears. But she gets mad at everything the male character does, and it is so annoying. Like be quiet and say what’s on your mind. Ugh. Love the male character’s growth and the love he has for everyone. Would recommend!

True perfection

Did this make me sob in Costco? Yes!
Did I burst into laughter while at my kids bus stop? Also YES !!

I love this story and Alex & Kasha are perfection when it comes to voice actors! My only complaint is as a Canadian, hearing the second T in Toronto pronounced had my eye twitching 😂 iykyk

Highly recommend this whole series!

A Brothers Best Friend Sister

A wonderful sports romance story of coming together through the difficulties of a trauma that happened to Jennie, Carter's sister. Who helps her through this is Carter's best friend, Garrett. They keep their affair secret because Carter would go crazy. He has always been overly protective of her since their father was killed by a drunk driver.
I loved how everyone realized this except her brother, their friend Everett. Jennie overcoming her fear and Garrett being patient help them overcome the issue of becoming a couple, which is not a secret.
A lovely audio book is worth listening to. The first book, "Consider Me," is still my favourite.

I liked the patience the characters had for each other as their friendship and love grew

The story was cute and spicy. My only complaints were that the author doesn’t seem to know the difference between the downtown core of Vancouver and the City of North Vancouver. They are not the same. And the female narrator, whose character is supposed to be from Vancouver, miss pronounced “Vancouver”, “Toronto”, and “eh?” She doesn’t need to put on a Canadian accent, but at least say the words the way a local would.

Fabulous!

I couldn’t stop listening to this one.

Becka Mack might just be my new favorite author. She doesn’t hold back, so the vivid detailing makes you feel like your part of the story.

Can’t wait to listening to the Adam’s story, whenever that finally comes out.

One of the best books I’ve ever had on audible

I loved everything about this book, they characters growth through the book, the banter between jenny and Garrett was so good, I am so glad I decided to listen to this instead of read it because I think the audio would be better than just reading it. Alex Judd’s voice is *chefs kiss*

Not as good as the first book

The first book in the series was amazing. Second book was very disappointing. FMC kept repeating the same monologue of emotions over and over again. The redundancy became frustrating. Found how quickly the MMC amd FMC fell in love unrealistic.
