Twisty plot, mystery and romance

Super slow burn and low on spice but great slow burn and angst in this second book of the series. The plot really keeps you guessing as to what will happen next, it’s not predictable which is quite refreshing.

Enemies on all sides, this book explores how the pair’s relationship develops under a pressure cooker situation. Can the heroine even trust the hero ? He’s willing to burn down the world for her, but will she look at him the same way once he does? What if he has to drag her into the darkest of places to keep her safe?

Absolutely delicious performances all round. This audiobook goes down like smooth whiskey.

But- cliffhanger? Argh… hope the next book is already out!
