Connor, Deion, Eric, and Rylee are four close friends who were simply out enjoying a winter night together. While driving them home, Connor misses his highway exit toward Greenview. When taking the exit to Savannah so they could turn around, the four notice a large unusual building that appears abandoned, even though the parking lot appears recently plowed. Against Rylee's judgment, the four decide to break in and look inside this abandoned facility. Little did they know that this precise moment would change their four lives forever.
Soon the news breaks about how a government facility was broken into and a program referred to as the "M.E.R.C. Project" may have become compromised. But what is this M.E.R.C. Project? What could this have to do with them and the small city of Greenview? Their answers seem to lie with a scientist named Dr. Cornelius Nicholai and their strange new friend, Zeke.
Tensions rise and chaos follows as the four soon discover that there are bigger things going on in their quiet and dull city than they could have ever imagined.
