About this listen

Romance is in the air on Harrington Street, Oxford. Detective Inspector Ian Chisholm is finally showing interest in Lucy, though the members of the vampire knitting club aren't too thrilled to have the police hanging around so close to Cardinal Woolsey's yarn shop. Up the street at Frogg Books, shop assistant Alice is in love with her bookish boss, Charlie, who doesn't seem to notice.

Lucy's trying to become more proficient as a witch and when her cousin Violet talks her into brewing up a love potion to bring Alice and Charlie together, it seems like a harmless way to improve her craft.

Until someone dies. Is Lucy's love potion more deadly than cupid's arrow? Or is there a killer on the loose?

Feels out

There is barely no mention of knitting, topics are too out of subject and way too many new characters that aren’t that important and it is really hard to keep up with all those new names . This audio book was hard to follow the story . Hope the next one is better and more knitting related

Fun listen

A fun, well written and narrated story. I enjoyed all the Shakespeare references and the various characters. Not too complicated but an enjoyable listen when looking for a fun and cozy murder mystery with dashes of romance.

Jaw Dropping Ending

This is the first book in the series that I struggled though. Maybe it was because it was slightly inspired by a Shakespearean story (which I'm not a fan of) or simply because it was different than the first few books in the series, but either way, I finished the book. And I am SO HAPPY that I did. The ending made it worth it and I will be continuing with the series.

Weak link in the series

I've been very invested in this series and really disliked this one. A bit over the top with some characters, explained everything as if reading to 7 year olds, and lost my interest many times. Hope #6 is better
