Publisher's Summary

From critically acclaimed author Alice Oseman comes a smartly crafted contemporary YA novel, perfect for fans who love Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl. This is an utterly captivating and authentic teen novel from the author of Solitaire, which VOYA said “could put her among the great young adult fiction authors.”

Frances Janvier spends most of her time studying.

Everyone knows Aled Last as that quiet boy who gets straight As.

You probably think that they are going to fall in love or something. Since he is a boy and she is a girl.

They don’t. They make a podcast.

In a world determined to shut them up, knock them down, and set them on a cookie cutter life path, Frances and Aled struggle to find their voices over the course of one life-changing year. Will they have the courage to show everyone who they really are? Or will they be met with radio silence?

11/10

I seen some bad reviews for this book but honestly i loved it so much, thanks Alice. Also i loved the little references to solitaire so much and how it said at the end that Frances was the girl in the doctor who costume from solitaire, if you haven't listened to solitaire please so it's so amazing.

Remarkable book

This book is my literal favourite book! All of the characters are so relatable but also have so much personality. The writing in this book is phenomenal (like all of Alice Osemans books)! This got me into all of the oseman-verse books and made me find a fandom where I felt comfortable. This book overall remarkable and sooo underrated! Thank you Alice Oseman.

Captivating, emotional, beautiful

These new characters from the familiar world of Heartstopper and Solitaire are just as heartwarming and fully realized as all the others we have met and fallen in love with in the Osemanverse.

I had no idea what to expect in this story but was quickly captivated by the engaging plot with its perfect blend of authenticity, unpredictability and suspense. Alice again brilliantly handles complex issues such as mental illness and sexuality with such accuracy and sensitivity. I found myself at times smiling, crying, laughing, and at one point literally holding my breath in suspense.

This is the audible equivalent of a page-turner and I ended up listening to the entire book in a single day. The story wraps up perfectly yet I am left wanting more, if only to spend more time with these characters, to see where they end up next.

Really enjoyed it!

I'm glad I gave this book a chance. I've enjoyed other works from this author before, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the messages it was presenting. The performance of the narrator was very vell done and it was an enjoyable listening experience.

Beautiful and Heartstopping!

Radio Silence is written in language that is so vivid and transparent that I felt as if I was a direct witness to the events of the novel. The characters were brought to life in a way that made me believe they were real and I was moved by their struggles and their lovable humanity. The narrator was outstanding. I loved this book!

Overhyped

You know when you push through a book because EVERYONE says they love it and then it’s just...not...that..good. Yeah? Well that was this for me. I really hard a hard time listening to this, I found it really cringe and also though I definitely relate to the struggle every teen has experienced of feeling lost/directionless...it was so hard for me to care about the characters. Idk. Not it for me.
