Very Expansive
Before listening to this book i had a rough understanding of Viking culture and history. But this book helped me expand my knowledge of the Vikings. I will be listening to it many more times because the stories being told are just so fascinating.

Good stories. Bad narrator.
Mainly good stories of the Vikings. good to hear of their travels to other places than England. The narrator is not very good. A lot of mispronounced places and words. Makes listening a challenge.

Poorly Narrated and Repretive
The narration is mostly monotone and what little emphasis it does have is often on the wrong words. Many points are stated repetitively; in one chapter the author states 'Rollo was given Normandy and converted to Catholicism' four times in slightly different wording. The time line jumps around a lot which makes the sequence of events hard to follow.
