The first Pitt book with a historical prologue!

This is an old Dirk Pitt book that marks the start of the format of all future Cussler books, with larger casts, more complex and twisty plots, and the historical (fictional) flashback that sets the direction of the novel.

It's just a book that's a really fun read. As always, Scott Brick provides a masterful performance. In the 80s, I'd read Tom Clancy for heavy thick plots, and Clive Cussler for fun escapism. I'm glad Scott Brick narrates the Dirk Pitt books, and many of my favourite Tom Clancy novels.

Great adventure, but details of Titanic were amazing

The creativity and research that went into this book were amazing, felt like being back in time. The solutions to how to find and raise we're so fun to listen to. Another Cussler classic.
