Publisher's Summary

If you have a daughter, it would be surprising if she doesn't struggle with anxiety and worry - either in short episodes or for longer periods. For a variety of reasons, childhood anxiety rates are soaring, especially among girls. Today's parents need to know what contributes to anxiety and worry and how they can empower their daughters to overcome troubling emotions.

In this immensely practical book, veteran counselor Sissy Goff shares how you can instill bravery and strength in your daughter. Addressing common age-specific issues, Goff gives you the tools to help you and your child understand why her brain is often working against her when she starts to worry, and what she can do to fight back. With your help, she will find the anchoring truth of God's strong, safe love for her and the confidence she needs to thrive.

Excellent Content

This is an excellent book. Enacting the strategies along with the workbook she mentions, we’ve seen improvement in our daughter within 2 weeks. The only con to this audiobook was the reader. My wife and I couldn’t help but laugh many times as it sounded like an AI voice was trying to read for us.

Great strategies for worrying girls

This book had great strategies for dealing with my worrying 7 year old daughter. And especially for understanding the difference between girls and boys when it comes to worrying and fear. The part that I did not relate to was the religious (christian) perspective on dealing with anxiety and worry because I’m not a religious person. There is a lot of reference to religion and faith is assumed as a foundation to all strategies.

Great listen

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The examples in it were right on par with what my daughter experiences. Gave good strategies to work with and the fact it was somewhat faith based really helped. Definitely recommend it for girls battling anxiety.

I wish I’d known this was a faith based book from the get.
