Publisher's Summary

Times are desperate for the Rebel Alliance. Harassment by the Empire and a shortage of vital supplies are hindering completion of a new secret base on the ice planet Hoth. So when Mid Rim merchants offer much-needed materials for sale, Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo lead an Alliance delegation to negotiate a deal.

But when treachery forces the rebel ship to flee into territory controlled by pirates, Leia makes a shocking discovery: The fierce marauders come from Leia's homeworld of Alderaan, recently destroyed by the Death Star. These refugees have turned to pillaging and plundering to survive - and they are in debt to a pirate armada, which will gladly ransom the princess to the vengeful Empire...if they find out her true identity.

Struggling with intense feelings of guilt, loyalty, and betrayal, Leia is determined to help her wayward kinspeople, even as Imperial forces are closing in on her own crippled ship. Trapped between lethal cutthroats and brutal oppressors, Leia and Han, along with Luke, Chewbacca, and a battle-ready crew, must defy death - or embrace it - to keep the rebellion alive.

Narrator was fine, story was okay.

I just came from listening to Scoundrels and Honour Amoung Thieves as per following the EU timeline (I don't believe in calling it Legends).

Anyway, I felt that Han was written perfectly in each of those previous titles, and the banter he had between Leia, Lando, Chewie and others was fantastic.

I found the Han in this title was a little off, as well as the way he interacted with Leia. Also I found the story to be okay. This book, as well as Scoundrels and Honor Amoung Thieves don't really add anything too special to the overall story of what happened between ANH and ESB. The three are just a few fun little side stories I guess.

I completely disagree with any reviews saying the narrator did a bad job. I think a female narrator should have been chosen as Leia was the main character of this book. Obviously she can't do a good Han impression like Marc Thompson can, and I don't expect her too.

Whenever Marc Thompson, or Jonathan Davis do females voices I really don't like it either. Any Leia or Mara Jade or other female character voiced by them sound way to masculine, but what do you expect?

All in all, props to the narrator doing Leia, shame on reviewers wanting her to do a perfect Han, and story was okay.

Much love to all Star Wars nerds like me!
