A little too quick
I enjoy your series a great deal, but to wrap up the politics and lay down a whole new thread so quickly left me feeling a bit jilted. The political shake up deserved a bit more depth, in my opinion, but I shallow still look forward to the next book in the series.

Awaken your mind!
This book will keep you awake and wanting more late into the night. Between the amazing, lovable and intriguing characters created by Robyn and Shannon Wideman and the voices presented by Vikas Adam. You will be looking for time to sneak away and listen! Caught myself going for a pointless drive just to finish a couple chapters. Each of these books will leave you wanting more and more! I haven’t read in years. Thank you for pulling me back into the wondrous worlds hiding in paper!

This book was a challenge to get through. I have been a fan of the rest of the series for a while; when this book came out, I was excited. It wasn't long before my excitement faded fast. There is no positive character development, no real combat scenes, and it feels like the author just forgot about the character progression. Aside from a new fancy sword, there is no improvement to powers, levels, or anything aside.
The plotline really leans into species racism, even moreso than the last books. There is no real challenge for the MCs to overcome, and this book feels like it attempted many themes but failed at all.
If you were a fan of this series, it might be best to avoid this book so as to not ruin your experiences.
