Thoroughly enjoyable and easy to listen to
I was pleasantly surprised by this book, It was exactly what I was looking for when I listened. An enjoyable story without never ending plot twists. When I say it did not keep me on the edge of my seat, I mean that in a complimentary way. The story was full and rich and had some plot twists and adventure, but nothing over done or exaggerated. It was entertaining and relaxing. The narration was well done and complimented the book. I loved that the story was complete unto itself while still paving the way for a sequel. I tire of franchise books where novels simply end mid story, to be continues in volumes 2 through 12. I loved this book.

Simplistic easy listening full of cliche
This book was hilariously cliche and full of conveniences and laugh out loud moments. It's a "soft sci-fi" if anything where you have to throw all logic out the window to enjoy. Once I decided that this book was more making fun of the genre then the story became a bit more enjoyable. Overall, I finished it because I wanted to see just how crazy it would get but it's not a book I would recommend to anybody looking for a sci-fi. If you're looking for a whimsical outrageous adventure story where you throw all illusions of reality out the window then enjoy!
