About this listen
Renegade Star, Book One
Jace Hughes is a Renegade.
That means taking almost any job that comes his way, no matter the situation. So long as he can keep his ship floating, he's free to live the life he wants. But that all changes when he meets Abigail Pryar, a nun looking for safe passage out of the system. Too bad there's something off about the cargo she's carrying.
Jace knows he shouldn't ask too many questions, but when strange sounds start coming from inside the large, metal box, he can't help but check it out. Big mistake. To make matters worse, he's being pursued by unknown ships - people who want that cargo. Does Jace give up the goods and hand over the nun ...or does he risk it all for an even bigger payout?
Renegade Atlas, book Two
The search for Earth has begun.
After barely escaping the Union's grasp, The Renegade Star is off to parts unknown. Every member of its crew is a wanted fugitive. None of them can ever return home.
But all is not lost. Thanks to Lex, a strange girl with a remarkable gift, the path to Earth has been revealed. According to ancient myth, Earth holds valuable treasures, lost technology, and endless secrets, ripe for the taking. Jace and his new friends have a chance to discover it all, but only if they can keep Lex out of the Union's grasp.
Doing so won't be easy. With enemies on all sides, the deck is stacked against them, but nothing in this universe comes easy when you're a Renegade.
If you're a fan of Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, or Leviathan Wakes, you'll love this epic, space opera thriller.
Warning: This book contains action, cussing, and general badassery. Listen at your own risk.

Good story, main character hinders flow
Potentially a good story, but the main character is painted as too stupid to be believable. Too many things are laid out simply which adds words and dumbs down the story.

Excellent!
Humorous, action packed and leaves you wanting more. Picture a foul mouthed Han Solo rocketing around the stars dodging death by the skin of his teeth while cracking a never ending string of one liners. Can’t wait to continue the story.

Really enjoyed
Luke Daniels does a great job narrating the story. Glad he does the whole series, nothing worse than when they change the narrator from book to book.

Fun listen
If you are a big fan of the firefly story this is a story for you! I thoroughly enjoyed these 2 books. Excitement and surprises with quirkiness.

Wow Luke Daniels
Imagine a foul mouth John Wayne type that has a paternal nature in a sci-fi setting. And that's just one of the characters that Luke Daniels nails with superb voice acting. Plenty of action, lots of adventure, and loads of comedy. This series has it all. I took a star off of the story rating because i found the books a little short, just a little.

Good story
It’s a good sci-fi story where you learn about their wolds and politics as you go. There is no info dump pages. Pretty nice pace to the story and interesting characters. The narrator was pretty good too at giving life to the different characters.

Entertaining story
The books are short, fast paced and not particularly original. They did keep me coming back and looking forward to the next however. Even if I did whine about paying for another book so quickly. Luke Daniels is one of my favourite narrators and if you liked his narration style check out the Iron Druid series.
