Story
In The Spark Factor, Dr. Molly Maloof shares a program uniquely tailored to the biology of women—a plan that targets the mitochondria, the power source of the cells. As Dr. Maloof shows, the intense, all-or-nothing approaches commonly used by biohackers to optimize health—including sustained fasting, ultra-low-carb diets, and intense training—can be harmful, especially for women, because they create excessive stress in an already-stressed body, which can make us tired, weak, and prone to illness.

What does it mean to “be you” - that is, to have a specific, conscious experience of the world around you and yourself within it? There may be no more elusive or fascinating question. Historically, humanity has considered the nature of consciousness to be a primarily spiritual or philosophical inquiry, but scientific research is now mapping out compelling biological theories and explanations for consciousness and selfhood.

Great book
I found this book when I was looking for a new self-help book and I decided to take the plunge and discovered this author’s podcast as well. I would definitely recommend this book and the podcast for anyone who is looking to improve their lives in a holistic way that allows for optimal performance across all areas of life by bringing your attention to things you might not be paying attention to.

Narration was painful
The message is strong. The narration is tense, high-pitch and nasal. I couldn't listen to it again if you paid me.

We all need this!
I was really excited to order this book by Dr Greg Wells. I've been inspired by his emails and podcasts and found his work extremely valuable with common sense strategies for improving health and optimizing performance. He's a fabulous speaker, researcher, and educator. Loved his book but wish he narrated it himself. Recommend you subscribe to his podcasts.

Excellent book, but not the narrator
Great content. The narrator's high-pitched voice didn't work for me at all. It raised my stress level.
