About this listen

All of the stories you've heard are wrong. They always tell you that starting a new life in a fantasy world is an amazing experience, full of magic, adventure, and true love...but they never tell you what happens when it's over. They don't tell you that it just happens again. And again. By the time you start your third new life in a row, all of that initial amazement wears off.

That's where Lux finds himself now: dropped into yet another fantasy world, forced to restart his life all over again. Having lost the people he loved twice over, he wants nothing more than to disappear and live a life of solitude...but it seems the world has other plans for him.

Poorly written main character. Fantasy Fluff

The main character should have the mind of a highly experienced elderly combat veteran; he's lived his main life and has restarted his otherworldly lives 2 more times. However, the main character is written as a young teenager approaching adulthood for the first time. He can't figure out the differences in currency without somebody helping him out. He is scammed and later scammed again. He spends hours figuring out the magic of how to 'shatter' a lock when he could have simply taunted a guard to enter his cell. The main character is naive, gullible, and sometimes can't control his emotions. The writer, Adam Ladner, doesn't know how to write inner monologues from varying levels of maturity and experience. The target audience for this book is around the grade 8 reading level.

predictable

I thought it would be a good book series. Then as it progressed it became such a predictably weak plot, that it was underwhelming.
