Publisher's Summary

Orphans. Changelings. Princesses. Queens.

We are all and nothing now, our fate weighed on the scales of the stars and counterbalanced by the forces that oppose us.

The shadow of the false king spreads as thick as oil across the kingdom we were born to rule, and none remain untouched by its darkness.

Our crowns lay within reach if only we can claim them. All souls are at risk now and when the final battle dawns, a new regime will rise.

The time for the true reckoning is upon us and we have proven ourselves as savage as our father, as brutal as our mother, and as wild as the Elements which roar through our veins. We can only hope it is enough.

When the last sword strikes the final death in this game of fate and fortune, only one side will be victorious. The Starfall Legion charges at first light. And our destiny rides upon our shoulders as we rush into the end.

All hail the True Queens. May our rule last longer than this night.

***This is a dark fantasy romance–don’t go expecting a sweet school for magic with friends around every corner. Fae fight for everything they own and Zodiac Academy is a cutthroat school for students aged 18+ where only the strongest prevail. There’s no Dumbledore here to save anyone’s ass and Lionel Acrux will give Voldemort a run for his money in the evil dictator category. So hold onto your stardust (broomsticks not required) and get ready for a bumpy ride***

This is by far the best ending to a series you could ask for!

This is by far the best ending to a series you could ask for. All of these books are a masterpiece. Zodiac Academy has my love above all other books!

Wow that was a lot! But good

So it’s finally over! A part of me is sad because I got attached to so many characters but a bigger part is relieved because the story was getting dragged out and needed to finish!!

So much happened in this book, the dragon king had his shadow queen, his new shadow heir & a star but the twins and their resistance fought back!

I like the shadow heir’s story he’s deeper than I thought they would make him.

The storyline of the star kinda fell flat as he didn’t really accomplish anything.

I kinda wish we got more from the Nymph story but it was good enough I guess. The souls being freed made me happy.

I thought at the end the 12 stones would if played a bigger role but nope.

And honestly even though I’m happy with the way the war turned out, I can’t help but feel like some main characters should of died the fact everyone lived is just impossible 🤷‍♀️ even if I’m glad they did.

The one eyed guy I’m disappointed that we didn’t get a conclusion to his story, maybe he will be in the spin off with the moon alpha girl?

And the twins grandfather from across the sea who gifted them the 4 rare little dragons, I was hoping after the war we would get to see them met or find out why his land has been closed off for the past 100 years.

Overall it was a good book & series if not a little dragged out. The spice was fun, the friendships were cute & the surprisingly they were really funny!

the narrators drive me crazy

for some reason the narrator makes Darcy sound like she's sobbing at all times making her chapters unbearable. she gets worse as the series goes on. both these narrators struggle with portraying the appropriate emotions for the story as if the emotional tenor of the voices was their only way to distinguish the characters, as opposed to just different voices. like Darius is always angry sounding, Darcy always sad as hell, Geraldine is over the top as hell even for her character. I really struggled with the narration in these books.

The narrators are sublime

I cannot say this enough, these narrators are simply amazing, it is like listening to en entire cast, you can tell whose dialogue it is based on their tone of voice!

Bad Storyline. Too Long

finally it is over...
atleast it was an audio book series and the narration was alright honestly.
but adding on characters, war, battles, plot twists, etc/etc/etc. Just silly.

If it was a 3 or 4 book series, kept more simple and linear in its story lines and characters, it would be something to rival popular teen series. Problem is - this didn't happen.

if you made it this far, I applaud you, it's done now. Move on.

Narrators just awful

the narrators make this unlistenable, the male narrator shouts and tries to sound tough and the female narrator should not attempt accents

The end, at long last

I was definitely looking forward to this story coming to an end at long last. The series should have concluded at book 8, but then they added in more bad guys to defeat and then put out two more books that were basically bonus backstory content before finally gracing us with a conclusion to this world that I’ve become invested in. I was glad to see the true Queens find their peace, but it took way too long to get there. There were too many non essential characters and character POV chapters that didn’t need to be included to advance the story. I get that the authors wanted to fully wrap up the story and leave everyone with their HEAs, but it was just too long and dragged by the end.
