About this listen
Reunions can be murder.
A dial tone instead of a human voice announced Lucky’s ousting from the Lucklighter clan over 12 years ago. After living a life of crime. After testifying against his drug lord lover. After receiving a 10-year sentence. Ah, hell. Lucky would’ve disowned himself too.
Now life’s better. He’s done his time and earned a place in the Southeastern Narcotics Bureau’s Department of Diversion Prevention and Control. He has a house. He has Bo, his partner both on and off the job. And pets. But not his folks. The worst part? He’s not sure exactly why they disowned him. Too late now - they think he’s dead.
Now his father needs a gift only Lucky can give. And Lucky’s family has something that may destroy all he believes: The truth.

Perfect antidepressant for a sad and moody day
3.5 to 4 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames
Narrator Darcy Stark delivered another extremely endearing romantic comedy peppered with laugh out loud funny times. This was the 6th installment of the Diversion Series. His steadfast easy reading and calm demeanor brings a very soothing experience to the soul. Coupled that with the comedy, making this the perfect antidepressant for a sad and moody day.
The humor in this audiobook is packaged inside many layers of pain and hurt Lucky experienced and carried around for years after being shunted by his family. His personal growth testified about his strong character and the emotional struggles he overcame. Without truly realizing that he is a good person, with strong morals, he learns to believe in himself and in doing so he is able to love his Bo as he already deserved, and accept and receive the love Bo has for him in return.
Lovers of this series should not miss this audiobook. I do recommend listening to this as many secrets are revealed and explained. I got to know Lucky even better, and learning these details made me love him even harder.
