About this listen
This book is an approach to Jesus's recorded words and teachings through his native language, Aramaic, answering many questions clearly and consistently, even if unexpectedly, no matter which Gospel you have in your hands.
From the Introduction:
"Jesus's teachings have been used historically to fuel what became modern Western culture, with all its pluses and minuses. At the same time, viewed through his native language, the same teachings provide a solution to our culture's greatest challenges, pointing the way toward a proper use of our human individuality and will."
Through expansions of Aramaic's multiple meanings as well as guided contemplations, Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus provides a guide to transformation through the way of the prophet of Nazareth. It shows how Jesus's deepest teachings address contemporary challenges, such as our relationships with nature and each other, as well as the purpose of life itself.
Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus is a guide to living an authentic interior life without dogma and a spiritual path that makes you more comfortable in your own, providing a sense of meaning and purpose.

Finally! The Life and Teachings of Jesus makes sense..
As a once practicing Roman Catholic, I had given up many years ago on trying to relate to the readings and teachings of any bible. As a spiritual person, I had also, all but given up any hope of finding meaning or direction from Christianity…Until Now! This book provided a window to the teachings of Jesus, I never thought would be open to me. Through the interpretations of scriptures by Neil Douglas Klotz from Aramaic to english, Jesus words became pragmatic, clear, and of this world. I felt, “finally!”, I have some tangible words and practices to work on that actually originate with Jesus. I can now celebrate that Jesus teachings are in many ways consistent with other enlightened individuals and not simply part of a group “out of touch” religions.
The narrator performance is amazing, making this book perfect for audio. This audio book required a significant amount of concentration, as there is a great deal of fabulous material. The language concepts and pronunciation were new to me as well. I will no doubt be listening the book again ( and again).
In closing, this book will not send this old baby boomer back to the Catholic Church. In fact, quite the opposite. But it will encourage me to re-examine the teaching of Jesus with completely fresh eyes, and allow me to more closely align my spiritual practices with those words.

You need the book to follow
I like the fact that the Aramaic Jesus speaks from the heart as opposed to the rational "Greek" versions that we are used to. The problem I have with this book is that you need to trust the author about the translations he is proposing. It is completely different than whatever I've read so far. Need the book to follow as the words in Aramaic is completely alien to the beginner. Good to know that there is something different out there.
