Publisher's Summary

Twenty-six-year-old Gaby Barreto might be a lot of things (loyal, sarcastic, one of the guys, and a pain in the butt, depending on which family member you ask), but dumb isn't one of them. When her twin brother invites her to go on tour as his band's merch girl, she isn't exactly screaming at the top of her lungs with joy. But with no job opportunities pounding on her door, an ex-boyfriend she would still like to castrate, and no end in sight to moving out of her parents' house in Dallas, it would be dumb to say no to the chance of a lifetime.

Two bands, three continents, one tour. Spending the next 90-plus days with three beloved idiots and eight complete strangers shouldn't be a big deal, right? If only the singer of the headlining band didn't have tattoos, a great personality, and a fantastic body, and if he weren't so funny.... Let's be real: Gaby never had a chance against Sacha Malykhin.

Narration problem

Although I liked Carly Robins in other books, she needs to rethink her male voices as they sound creepy and more like an old (very very old) man’s thank like that of a young vibrant man. Threw me right off the book :(

Love Mariana

I love Mariana Zapatas stories. There so funny and cute and the characters are so special. This one is not as good as Kulti but I still enjoyed the journey.

Fun & Flirty

The narrator did an excellent job with this book. If you like girl next store meets rockstar, funny banter, sibling bonds, and slow burn romance this one is for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Rhythm, Chord, & Malykhin is my first Mariana Zapata read. It’s definitely a slow burn, which I hear is Zapata’s specialty. This book was very long but it was also funny and kept me interested in the story until the end. I’m a sucker for a rockstar story! It’s not my usual read but it was entertaining.

Good Read

4.5 books
This is such a quirky, fun, entertaining read. I love the rom-com vibes. I was laughing out loud over the antics and by-play between Gaby and the guys, especially her brother. I loved how sweet Sacha was and the ways in which he showed Gaby how much he cared. These two worked so well together and their romance felt real to me. Gaby and Sacha are well-developed and relatable characters. I found the overall story very relatable and really enjoyed going on this journey with the characters. I would love to have gotten more of them.

I listened to this on audiobook and found the narrator easy to understand regardless of the speed at which I listened.

I normally love Mariana Zapata's books buttt

I think the narration was pretty bad, the male voices sound like a weird teenager changing voices and pretty douchey , maybe that's why I didn't enjoy the book , maybe I'll read it and change my mind, but so far my least favorite book from her :(

Painful Narration

Good story, but it felt very juvenile, I think this is due to the male voices', as they sounded like prepubescent boys instead of grown men. I really enjoy Zapata's books, so I think I would have enjoyed this one if it had both a male and female narrators, as she did a great job with the female character,

Not Her Best

I found the narrator’s male voices annoying — more like a small child than a man — which didn’t help the story. The story had some good parts but seemed juvenile in others. I have enjoyed other Zapata books (Wall of Winnipeg etc) more. Glad this was free as I skipped whole sections (speed read on 2.5).
