About this listen
Someone has it out for Rialto.
Ian Banner is loving his hectic life. He’s newly married, ready to start a family, and opening a new restaurant. All his dreams are coming true.
The last thing he needs is a problem with his restaurant.
But when one attack after another comes, he grows convinced he has another enemy.
Ian tries to handle things by himself, but his friends are soon drawn in when the attacks become violent. That’s when Ian realizes the target isn’t Rialto. It’s him.
Rialto is the final installment in the Unbreakable Bonds series and features sexy times, Daciana snuggles, overprotective family, fire, and of course, code names.

"So Long" to the Unbreakables !!
This is book 8 and the last in the "Unbreakable Bonds" series. We get to visit Ian & Hollis 3-4 months after their wedding as they settle into married life. They are taking the classes to prepare for fostering as planned, along with expanding Ian's restaurant empire. Unfortunately, someone from Ian's current or former network is "out to get him" and we have more suspense. We see all members of the "family" grow and accept Ian as their equal and not just their "pet" as Ian wedges himself into the action rather than just keeping the home fires burning. Nice to see Ian & Hollis actually fight with each other, then make up over brownies - makes them seem more real.
Bonus points to Ms Drake & Ms Elliott for giving us an Epilogue to the whole series. For this, I will forgive the authors for only letting us see one wedding, not three. I have that hollow empty feeling that always comes when a series wraps, but it's buffered by knowing the guys have solid futures - individually - as couples - and as a "family".
We invested emotion in 2 characters in the final two novels that were not included in the Epilogue - JB & Max. Each of those two could come back in a stand-alone if the authors get the urge - they both just "ghosted" away.
Kenneth Obi's narration for this whole series was sensational - what a loss his passing has dealt us.

Unfortunately the weakest book of the series
I like the regular characters but Ian’s character comes off whiney, unrealistic and ridiculous to me. Who would give this guy a gun? He wants to go on the mission but he has NO training or experience - please! He also doesn’t seem like the intelligent guy they have portrayed him to be previously. And then the wrap up and attitude change in the antagonist is too sudden and instantaneous. I could barely get through this book and I have listened to the entire series. It was a disappointing ending to an otherwise great series.
