About this listen
Richistan is like the best travel writing, full of colorful and interesting stories providing insights into exotic locales. Robert Frank has been loitering on the docks of yacht marinas, pestering his way into charity balls, and schmoozing with real-estate agents selling mega-houses to capture the story of the 21st century's nouveau riche.
As Robert Frank reveals, there is not one Richistan but three: Lower, Middle, and Upper, each of which has its own levels and distinctions of wealth: the haves and the have-mores. The influence of Richistan and the Richistanis extends well beyond the almost ten million households that make up its population, as the nonstop quest for status and an insatiable demand for luxury goods reshapes the entire American economy.

Light-hearted, yet informative.
A light-hearted, yet informative book about America's super-rich. Released in 2007, still relevant in 2021. Overall, it's an entertaining and enjoyable book. I also like Dick Hill's narrative style that adds a hint of humour and sarcasm. I will likely buy Robert Frank's other book... The High-Beta Rich.

A Book that never being outdated
I first bought the book when i was in Hong Kong about 10 years ago. I bought it through Audible again because i lent it to someone else and i never got it back. It inspired me into a whole new level of mind set.
Nothing is impossible. People think billionaires are untouchable, but it isnt. Some of them grew up in an ordinary family and work their way to the top. If we work hard and stay with our vision and goal. We will eventually be success, even if we don't, we earned the experience in order to have a higher chance to be success. I would recommend this book to everyone.
