About this listen

The first arc in Morgan's Rise to Omniscience. Over 650,000 words in one convenient box set!

This set contains books 1-5 of Rise to Omniscience, as well as the audio exclusive short story, "Beast Zone".

Morgan's life is not easy.

Growing up on the streets of City Four, he is constantly shunned by the other citizens. Morgan doesn't mind being ignored. What he does mind, though, are the constant beatings from the city guards due to his friendship with Sarah, the city lord's only daughter.

Lord Simon wants him dead, but the laws of the kingdom are on Morgan’s side, and even the guards won't kill him just for being seen near his manor. Morgan’s time is running out, though. Lord Simon has deep pockets, and his last visit to the manor may just have put him over the edge. Worse, he is nearing his 16th birthday, and has yet to awaken any abilities. In a world where might makes right, he has never been one of the mighty. What will he do when faced with a life-altering decision, and just how will his decision impact those around him?

Warning: This book contains some profanity, gore, and content that may not be suitable for children. This book also contains GameLit elements such as stat sheets and a form of leveling and experience gain.

Give it some time.

Pretty good overall 👌 Only suggestion, narrator needs to use more voices instead of his own altered voice. (Ie-Chaos seed series, Primal Hunter, Enora Online , etc.)

the most annoying love interest

the book does have some good points like, generally op mc, bit of humor, and narration is good.
it does have twists and turn that kept me getting back into the book.
my cons. this is the first time a character's personality has made me quite a book multiple times. think the most entitled princess. She is a constant so if you can handle that should be a great book. lastly feels like the author tries to do somethings that would be really cool and some "inception" level planning that just fell short and didn't work with the previous books

Worth a credit over and over .

I always look for books that make never want to put it down . This book did that plus more. Yes some parts are boring but like life we have tines we are bored. Doug Tisdale Jr does an amazing job and Aaron Oster thank you for such a great series.

Enjoyed it.

Narration was good and I enjoyed the books enough that it listened at home instead of while trucking.

LitRPG,

It doesn't say it in the details but this is LitRPG. Mediocre story, mediocre narration. If you're like me and have a lot of hours to fill, it is 60 hours for 1 credit. Other than that it is mildly entertaining with only a few plot holes.

Books 1 - 5 are really good but after that it becomes a whining simulator.

Spoiler wanring! if you choose to read this comment you will get information about a huge plot point. You have been warned.

The book and story were really good up until Sarah died. after that it is nothing but constant complaining and whining about how Sarah is dead and he can't move on. Not only is it super cheap to bring back a charactor from the dead but now we have to listen Morgan whine for 30 hours straight about how he can't go on without her.

Dropped 30 hours into the second omnibus, just couldn't stand it anymore.

Would recommended books 1 - 5 but after that it goes down hill almost immediately and doesn't have many redeeming qualities, you have been warned.
