Publisher's Summary
A Gotrek & Felix Audiobook
When Gotrek and Felix race to the aid of the besieged dwarf city of Karak Kadrin, they are drawn into a war that threatens the entire Old World, and pitted against a foe who could be the one to fulfil an ancient prophecy.
LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
It's a timeless tale from the Gotrek and Felix archives that sees the intrepid adventurers battle against a warhost of Chaos that seeks nothing less than opening a rift into the heart of Chaos itself.
THE STORY
Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask.
Gotrek and Felix race to the dwarf hold at Karak Kadrin, finding it besieged by one of the grand armies of Chaos under the command of Warlord Garmr. When King Ungrim Ironfist speaks of the legendary 'Road of Skulls' and of the hated foe's attempts to open a portal into the Realm of Chaos, Gotrek senses that a great doom awaits him – though it may not be the one he would choose for himself. As the king's own son leads his army of Slayers to fulfil an ancient prophecy, it seems that Garmr's hour of victory may be at hand.

In the World-that-Was, Gotrek Gurnisson was a whirlwind of fury on a quest for redemption. In the Mortal Realms, he remains a whirlwind of fury on a quest for redemption - and where slaying the worst that the worlds of Warhammer have to offer is concerned, there's a lot to be said for consistency. Come along for the ride with the slayer himself with this collection of Gotrek audio dramas written by David Guymer.

The one star reviews are idiots
It's the 13th book in the series, but timeline wise it takes place right after trollslayer, and if the others finished the book instead of leaving review half way through, it clearly mentions timeline wise where it takes place. Overall a good gotrik and Felix book.

Couldn't be more disappointed
75% of the book doesn't feature Felix and Gotrek. Instead we spend all that time with a dozen chaos characters I have 0 interest in and know they will die anyways and a bunch of dwarves on their own most of the time. F&G both have completely wrong personalities, their dialog were completely out of character. Gotrek talks way too much and says stuff he would have never said before. Felix barely talks and the book doesn't feel like it's from his PoV at all. The timeline doesn't work at all and the book pretends it's the first time they go to Karak Kadrin or ride a gyrocopter. Everybody seems to know Gotrek as if he's super famous, which has never been the case in the other books. The author clearly hasn't read any of the previous books. It was an absolute chore to go through and I would honestly recommend everybody to skip it as you won't be missing anything.
