Publisher's Summary

Rook and Ronin Omnibus contains the books Tragic, Manic, and Panic and features a runaway girl who falls into a million-dollar dream of cherry trees and rooftop swings. A bad boy with a sketchy history of breaking pretty girls. And a job called Tragic that might ruin everything.

Tragic

She’s on the run from a horrible past.

He’s got an offer of a lifetime.

Ronin

Rook Walsh appeared out of nowhere like a dark angel sent to steal my soul. And I could just tell that she was broken, and beaten, and scared.

So I made her an offer of a lifetime. She needed a job and I needed a certain "type" of girl for a modeling contract worth millions of dollars called Tragic.

I was warned to keep my hands to myself.

I was warned not to get involved.

I was warned not to ruin her.

(The way I ruined the last one.)

But I don’t take orders - I give them.

Rook

Ronin Flynn appeared out of nowhere like a bright light in my heavy darkness. And when he offered me a job, and money, and a fantasy rooftop apartment, I wanted to believe that he was good, and fair, and honest.

But I’d been tricked by a pretty face before.

I’d fallen for the knight once - and lost everything.

This was my chance to start over.

This was my chance to escape and be free.

And this was my chance to do it all by myself.

I don’t need a knight.

I don’t want to be saved.

But sometimes you find yourself trapped inside the fairy tale, and no matter how hard you try, nothing you do can stop the train wreck coming.

Loved all 3!

All 3 books are great. They fall into 1 another so it would be best if you start with the 1st of the series.
Now continuing onto the next book in this series!

Unique Trilogy

This was a well written and well narrated trilogy. The one thing that would have made it better is if there was more interaction between the hero and heroine in the second and third book. I can understand there being the amount of distance between the 2 main characters that there was in the second book. However, in the last book it's nice if us readers / listeners get to experience deeper dynamics and intimacy between the hero and heroine. Although their relationship grew it seemed to happen more in one giant leap at the end of the book since there was less interaction between the 2 main characters. So even though it was a good story, in a sense, I feel a bit cheated especially considering the epilogue with Ford (friend). In a way the epilogue dismantled a lot of the positive work the author accomplished in the three books. Even though the author may have used the epilogue to set up future books in the same series, once again I feel cheated because we didn't get a glimpse into the future of our 2 favourite characters. Regardless, this author has talent and this trilogy is worth the credit.

Great story but really wished for a bit more closure

Great story but really wished for a bit more closure after 3 books.

Being that I bought the 3 book set, I was truly hoping to have an ending or at least an epilogue involving the main characters. This epilogue is read by and about one of the other characters. Now, I have to buy another book to finish off Rook & Ronin’s stories. The story itself is cute & leaves you wanting to listening to more.

I love Jason Clarke’s voice, he’s one of two male narrators I can handle listening to. Erin Mallon is also one of a few of the female narrator’s I like listening to. They both do well together.

The whole package

Absolutely the whole package- fantastic story that gets it’s claws into you and then slowly unravels like a great strip tease.

Characters that are interesting and engaging, with Fantastic narration. Mystery, romance, a tiny bit of action (not just between the sheets), and Thai omnibus is 3in1. Can’t go wrong.

Perfect for binge listening!

It’s worth even the second time

I read these books a while ago and lived them… I listened to them this second time around and I’m in love all over again…. Thank you Julie!

Not ready to let go

I read these books all backwards, but that’s okay they still work. I came across ‘The Company’ by chance and loved it! When I finished that, I needed more and listened to Rook and Ronin’s story, swoon.... I’m in lust with Ronin. Rook is pretty fantastic as well, her personality is very familiar, so I find her quite relatable. This series is not really a direct tie in with The Company, The Company could be considered more of a spin off and delves into a world this series hinted on, while expanding on some characters that that were lingering in the periphery. But since I listened to these series in reverse, I found Rook and Ronin added a little more detail and insight. And I’m not ready to let go of this world full of sexy bad boys, gorgeous women, deceit, survival and achingly hot SEX!
